Abstract:

The National Gallery’s exhibition ‘Dürer’s Journeys: Travels of a Renaissance Artist’ will take place from 20 November 2021-27 February 2022.  In this talk its curator Susan Foister will preview the exhibition and discuss the ways in which Dürer’s own writings provide the impetus for the organisation and experience of the show. Dr Susan Foister is Deputy Director and Curator of Early Netherlandish and German Painting at the National Gallery, London.
